Strawberry Pudding

Fresh fruit puddings are very easy to prepare. This does not have to be cooked or baked like what we do in Caramel pudding. Just boil the milk and add china grass or gelatin. Also add fruit juices or syrups and some fresh fruits. That is it! You are done with your pudding.

Ingredient
Milk : 250 ml
Strawberry Syrup : 2 + 2 teaspoons
Sugar : 3 tablespoons
Fresh Strawberry : 4-5 Nos.
China-grass : 5 g

Preparation:

Step 1: Wash china grass and soak in 1/4 cup of water for 5 minutes.

Step 2: Boil milk by adding sugar and stir continuously. Once it starts boiling add china grass from step 1. Keep on stirring till the china grass completely dissolves in the milk.

Step 3: Add 2 teaspoons of Strawberry syrup and mix well. If you do not want to use syrup, fresh strawberry juice can be used.

Step 4: In a pudding mould spread 2 teaspoons of syrup/juice and pour the mix from step 3 into it. Keep it outside for 1 hour and then refrigerate for 1-2 hours.

Step 5: Scrape out the side using a knife or backside of the spoon. Take out the pudding by keeping a plate on top of the pudding and turn it upside down.

Enjoy your fresh strawberry pudding!

I love cooking and trying out various recipes, and also to come up with ways to achieve good results in reasonable time and effort ? All of the recipes I post here were tried out by me at least 2-3 times (if not a few dozen times) before I was happy with a simple method which gives me good results. Hope you enjoy making these dishes. Would be thrilled if you let me know in the comments how your experiment went. If you have recipe requests for any Malabar dishes, please contact me and I’ll make every effort to get the recipe, try it out and post it here.
