Thin Wheat Dosa

There are quite many varieties of Dosas and pancakes available all around the world. In those, I would say wheat dosa is the easiest one to make. I heard from some of my friends that making wheat dosa batter is time consuming, as all lumps should be removed to get thin dosas. But here, you don’t need to worry about all those. Just follow this 🙂

Ingredients:
Atta (Whole Wheat powder) : 1 cup
Water : 1 1/4 cup
Salt : Couple of pinches (to taste)

Preparation
Step 1: Add atta, water and salt in a mixer grinder and grind for 30sec to 1min. Batter is ready!

Step 2: Take a non-stick pan and keep it on medium flame/heat. Pour a big spoon of batter on it and using that spoon make it flat as shown in the picture. Start from the middle and keep on rounding and come outward.

Step 3: Add drops of oil, close the lid and keep for few seconds. Turn it and again cook for few more seconds. Take it out and serve.

I love cooking and trying out various recipes, and also to come up with ways to achieve good results in reasonable time and effort ? All of the recipes I post here were tried out by me at least 2-3 times (if not a few dozen times) before I was happy with a simple method which gives me good results. Hope you enjoy making these dishes. Would be thrilled if you let me know in the comments how your experiment went. If you have recipe requests for any Malabar dishes, please contact me and I’ll make every effort to get the recipe, try it out and post it here.
